Origen de Resalte in the Top 100 wines of the world
As it already happened in 2010 and 2011 in the TOP 100 of Wine Spectator and in 2017 in Decanter, a wine from Bodegas Resalte (DO Ribera del Duero) has been selected as one of the best wines in the world. This time it was Origen de Resalte 2015 with 93 points, listed in Wine Enthusiast 2019’s TOP 100, the first Spanish wine. A real achievement that puts Resalte and Ribera del Duero back in the spotlight of world-class wines.
Origen de Resalte is a wine that comes from a blend of 6 different villages in Ribera Peñafiel, Roa, Pedrosa, Quintana del Pidio, Fuentenebro and Moradillo. Each village is made separately to preserve the purest profile of the terroir and is aged in different cooperages to enhance its virtues. At least 5 different cooperages are used (80% French and 20% American) to seek an excellent synergy between barrel and wine, combining different type of barrels, and only at the end of the aging is made the final blend in which we seek purity, fruit expression, harmony and complexity.
A meticulous work throughout the elaboration that, Wine Enthusiast with 93 pts and other magazines have awarded: Wine Spectator 93 pts, Parker 91 pts, Proensa 94 pts, Guia Vivir el vino 91 pts.
