VINEYARDS
Everything begins in the earth.
At Bodegas Resalte, we understand that a wine's identity begins long before it reaches the winery. It begins in the vineyard, in the uniqueness of each plot and in the decisions we make throughout the year.
From Peñafiel, we work with vineyards located in different municipalities of Ribera del Duero, where the diversity of soils, altitudes and orientations allows us to explore different expressions of Tempranillo, the leading variety of our red wines.
Cada viñedo tiene su propio carácter. Nuestro trabajo consiste en conocerlo, interpretarlo y respetarlo.
Each plot demands its own care.
The vineyard requires attention throughout the year. Winter pruning, green pruning, shoot thinning and cluster thinning are part of the manual work with which we seek to promote the balance of the vine and the quality of the grape.
Our technical team continuously monitors the evolution of each vineyard, adapting viticultural work to its needs and to the conditions of each harvest season.
Because no two plots are alike. And there shouldn't be two identical ways of working them either.
Harvesting is knowing when.
The harvest is one of the most decisive moments of the year. Determining when to pick each plot requires experience, observation and precision.
From veraison onward, we step up our visits to the vineyard to follow the evolution of the grape. We carry out berry tastings and sample analyses that help us assess ripeness and decide the optimal moment for harvest.
We harvest by hand, making a first selection of clusters in the vineyard itself. The grapes are transported in small crates and bins to avoid crushing and preserve their integrity until they reach the winery.
Selecting is also winemaking.
